Wear to the spine ends, with the joint cloth torn at the head of the spine of volume 2; corners bumped, rubbed; flecking of cloth especially in the bottom edges; front hinge of volume 1 starting to crack; fore edge damp stain seen mostly on the frontispiece, title page and following pages, slightly less noticeable on the succeeding page and plate fore edges; tear in the fore edge of one plate in volume two. An uncommon set in better than good condition.
